Mediaspa is an ecommerce agency focused on strategy, design, development, and optimization of ecommerce experiences, specializing in Magento, Shopify Plus, and BigCommerce. Mediaspa’s sales organization is currently run by our CEO, and he needs help, as our marketing team is generating more leads as the business scales to an exciting new phase. So, we are looking for a Sales Development Manager to work closely with the CEO, along with broader team, to ensure we close and win a greater number of opportunities, and cement our reputation as a top boutique ecommerce agency in the country. The role of the sales team is to work with qualified leads, understand merchant requirements, and work with our various departments (design, development, strategy, client success, and project management) to propose solutions. These solutions include meaningful upfront requirements gathering, estimation, and strategic input. We separate ourselves from the competition by investing heavily in the sales process, earning new clients by showing impressive upfront commitment, and a strong strategic perspective.


  • Prepare for sales meetings by conducting industry and competitive research, gathering materials, and laying out an initial sales strategy
  • Present our capabilities presentation to prospects, taking the opportunity to learn about their specific needs
  • Ask follow-up questions to prospects that complete our project brief to ensure scope is clearly defined
  • Work with different departments to craft and estimate the proposed solution
  • Own the final written proposal, and present that proposal real-time to the prospective client
  • Negotiate, author, and execute the documentation that memorializes the engagement (SOW and Additional Terms)
  • Schedule and lead the internal and external kick-off meetings that follow signed contracts, ensuring no communication gaps within the team


  • 2-5 years of experience working with web development projects, ideally with Magento, Shopify, and BigCommerce
  • A working understanding of ecommerce strategy and best practices
  • Ability to draw technical project requirements out of business conversation
  • Capacity to author and collaborate on detailed spreadsheets used to scope complex ecommerce solutions
  • Proven ability to create and deliver client-facing presentations that inspire confidence
  • Ability to work autonomously under tight time constraints while managing multiple opportunities simultaneously
